Albaghdadia satellite channel was founded on the basis of freedom of speech and defending the rights of the homeland and citizen, it began broadcasting on12 Sep.2005,when The Iraqi businessman, Engineer Dr. Awn Hussein Al-Khashlok , have decided to found it, and he supervised its implementation, which took a long time of research, consultation and preparation, to find a huge Iraqi media establishment in accordance with the senior standards of professionalism in performance and modernity in the form and techniques, and freedom and urbanization in the cultural, artistic and political discourse, to highlight the real status of Iraq of which variables works to confuse understanding it and makes  a confusion on its distinct nature.

Albaghdadia, is an independent professional channel, adheres to the Iraqi national identity as common and inclusive of Iraq's diverse components, and from this tendency its message called to the independence of Iraq and the restoration of Iraqi national sovereignty and to establish a democratic, free unified system, recognizes by the intellectual political, national and religion, pluralism, at the same time, believes in the democratic system, freedom and respects human rights.

During its young movement, Albaghdadia, adopted the truth and seek to exposes it in audio and video, as a standard of a rational speech,  based on the moderation and medial, anti-sectarian and religious denominationalism, portions, prejudices and all forms of religious and ideological extremism. Albaghdadia considered its function as enlightening, and considered with equality to the citizens, regardless of his religion, ethnicity, language, gender, social affiliation and political belief, It has also taken supporting stance toward the rights of women and religious and national minorities, and paved the way to their representatives to express their rights and opinions.

Albaghdadia also sought to be a platform for freedom, that it glorify and considers it as the foundation of the other rights, especially the right of speech and belief and the right of association and  union and the right of political participation, and before that the right of life and to live in peace.

Through the efforts of its founder and its management Albaghdadia, stood by side the Iraqi citizens, through human activities, where it allocated appropriate salaries to needy families, the disabled and widows, and dealt with many Human and incurable Health cases of Iraqis who lived in difficult circumstances, while preserving Iraqi pride and dignity, as it leaves the choice to the Iraq that shows his difficult humanitarian situation, in its various humanitarian programs. And it supports any action or activity that would serve the citizens regardless of the body that presents it, and criticize any activity or action detrimental to the citizen and his rights and stand against the violator of these rights from the ruling authorities or its opposition.

Albaghdadia, calls for respect of religions and holy places, freedom of practice of religious rituals and rites, to  strengthen civil peace and coexistence, and develops the future role of  Iraq's and its relationship with the international community on the basis of cultural interaction and cultural exchange, according to the common humanity .From this sense, Albaghdadia looks in a great pride and respect to religions, people, nations and their cultures and civilizations, regardless of differences in policies, approaches and philosophies.

Albaghdadia, conducted a bold frank conversations with officials and decision-makers from the political forces within and outside the political process and the administration of the State of Iraq, to stand on the nature of their performance and detect corruption and bribery, and put  the criticism function on  as a top rank, depending on the constructive and objective meaningful criticism, that  based on the facts and realities, ending to rectify the situations and calling to a account the negligent adhering to the principles of the rule of law at the international and local levels.
